"Justice League" Review - No Justice for All

God damnit DCEU! I am so done with these movies. I’ve given this universe way more chances than I should’ve. How is it that besides Wonder Woman, that Man of Steel is still the best film out of all of these mediocre products? It makes no sense. As bad as Suicide Squad was, I enjoyed that more than Justice League. It’s not as bad as BvS, but that’s not saying much.

So what went wrong? First, the CGI is awful. Even though Zach Snyder toned down his directorial style that I still hate very much, the coloring and CGI with the monsters, the settings, it all just looked so fake and ridiculous. That’s probably the biggest sin for me. And Zach Snyder is no stranger to that sin, so maybe that’s just what he likes, I don’t know.

Secondly, the story structure is horrible. The overall story is okay, but the way they rush to explain and develop all the characters, and try to set up all these big battles within 2 hours was just way too rushed. In result, people like Steppenwolf (GOD I HATE HIM), Flash, and Aquaman, are so awfully crafted that you just end up not liking their characters in the end.

There are some pretty cool action sequences, but that’s pretty much it. Even some of the moves in the action sequences were absolutely atrocious, like that stupid moment where two people headbutt each other (you’ll see). I said the story is okay, and I stand by that. Again, it’s not BvS, but there are still moments in the story that make absolutely no sense at all. This has been a plague in all the non-Wonder Woman movies. Like, for example, in the final battle, the gang is trying to save civilians, which is normal. But they literally show only 4 civilians in trouble!!! SERIOUSLY! It’s like, alight Batman, now go save those 4 single civilians that live in this town.

I’m frankly done with the DCEU. It’s now just wasting my time. Call me when you get Patty Jenkins to handle the DCEU and when you kick out Zach Snyder.
