"Hell or High Water" Review - Journey Back Into The Westerns

"Hell or High Water” is a pretty crazy ride! While it may just be the country version of “Catch Me If You Can”, it’s still got a pretty well written and delicate script that keeps you engaged with the two main characters, whether in their ambitious robberies, or their touching moments of brotherhood.

The story is pretty slow, and it really doesn’t get that thrilling until the last half an hour. I don't really understand why it's labeled as a thriller when it's really a drama. Nevertheless, the directing of each shot of the people of the land and the common clay of the new west (brownie points to whomever can guess the movie) is truly addicting, and the performances by Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges, are top knotch by them as usual.

An absolutely well made movie that I’m sure I’d be more observant with if I saw it in a movie theater, but I just didn’t have the time in September. Glad I could finally see it now.

Two Nebs Up!
