Wow…“Finding Dory” is just remarkable! It’s not as good as Nemo, but it’s in no way shape or form like Monsters University vs. Monsters Inc. It’s more like Toy Story 2 vs. Toy Story 3. Brilliant in it’s own ways, but Nemo was just slightly more memorable with it’s more simple story.
What makes this movie so great is it’s step back from the formula Finding Nemo took. Instead of going back to every single old character, new characters are created that are so funny and likable, like Hank and Destiny. We get a good dose of Crush of course, but not that many characters from the first movie return, which I kind of liked (although if you look closely, there is an Easter Egg in a certain scene). Another plus is the animation is much more improved, and believe me, you’ll notice it. Plus, the new places we get to see are beautifully well made, and really add on to the awesome things “Dory” brings to the table.
This movie will rip your heart apart within the first 5 minutes, but its a great start to a sequel that’s just as funny, memorable, and enjoyable as the first movie!
Last thing, while I love all the voice cast, like Ellen, Albert Brooks, and Ed O Neil, Sigourney Weavers’ role is truly five star amazing. One of the best voice acting roles I have ever heard in my entire life. I can’t wait for you all to find out why, and I can’t wait for you to see this film and not stop talking about it.
