"Bridge of Spies"...oh yeah, you can believe the hype. It's that good.

I've been following this movie for a long time now after hearing Steven Speilberg, Tom Hanks, and Coen Brothers were all involved. I mean, you can't get any better of a team than that. But yeah, I don't need to tell you how good the acting or writing is. What I can tell you about is the direction.

Steven Spielberg is one of my favorite directors ever, and for one good reason. Anything he wants to bring to life, he can do so, and then add some magic to it. I love a lot of his older work a lot more, like ET and Schindler's List, but "Bridge of Spies" still goes down as some of his best work in years. It has so much suspense, and some great and brutal history behind it. It's shot in a very classic and flawless way, and best of all, it has both the historical accuracy of "Schindler's List", and the strong patriotic themes and beauty of "Saving Private Ryan". It's no "American Snipper" propaganda crap. It's honest storytelling, with a big load of horror, heroism, and American History that only Steven Spielberg can create so damn well. A true must see film!

Also, give a round of applause for Thomas Newman. For someone to create such incredible music and being a sub for John Williams is not easy, but Newman once again proves that he needs an Oscar now.

Two Nebs Up!
