"Spotlight" Review - A Brilliant Written Horror Film With No Horror

"Spotlight" is an absolute triumph. If any of you have read "All the President's Men", you know how important investigative journalism is. And if you've seen the movie, you know how important it is to make sure investigative journalism is created right within a movie. "Spotlight" does that so smoothly with it's writing and direction, that it truly succeeds in keeping you wondering what should you believe. Michael Keaton kills it as usual, and Mark Ruffalo and Rachel McAdams do a terrific job as well.

It's a movie everyone should see I think more because it's super fascinating. It's not necessarily sexy in terms of technical aspects or story. But it's just...so damn interesting. And the whole scope of how well it is directed just keeps you interested the whole way through. It's probably because the way news has been presented to us over the past few years is just lazy and uninteresting unless you actually care about celebrities 24/7.

I hope that makes sense. If it doesn't, just go see it anyway. You'll understand what I'm talking about.

One Nebs Up!
