"Steve Jobs" Review - The Best Idea Behind The Filmmaking

Jesus...jesus..."Steve Jobs" is nothing short of phenomenal. It reminded me why I love and study movies.

I learned something important from taking screenwriting. It's not if the idea has been done before, it's how you execute it. Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin joyfully shoot the Ashton Kutcher disgrace of a film 20 times in the face, and put out a movie that I believe will be the quintessential bar for a biopic about not just Steve Jobs, but almost anyone in history. Like "Birdman" did with cinematography, and what "Avatar" did to 3-D effects, this Jobs picture does something new to movie structure. It's constructed in 3 acts, all taking place during 3 different Apple Events, and all shooting at 3 different 40 minute live straight on scenes. All balance tension, dynamic characterization, and the study of not just what made Steve the genius, but what also made him the psycho. It's something I've never seen before done in a film, and the acting, the cinematography, the directing, and probably most of all, the writing, all make "Steve Jobs" something of a miracle inside that will not escape your head.

For anyone of you disappointed with the 2013 movie, you have nothing to fear. This films based on the Steve Jobs book that was released after he died, and Sony, after all the fallouts they had with this project, did a fantastic job.

I love film, simple as that. Thank you Danny and Aaron.
