"Rosewater" is a pretty good film. Nothing more or nothing less. The story is very inspiring and very good, but because it's based off true events, that's already set in stone you know? The director really didn't shy away from making this such a sob story as it was a powerful one. However, the writing and the directorial decisions were mostly hits, but also had some misses. Like, some of the director's decisions on effects, writing and filming powerful scenes were very weird and could've been tackled very differently, but the performances done by the cast members are just breathtaking and defiantly in result play with your emotions. It is pretty good. Don't mistake it with being bad. I always am very critical of movies, but I never want to bash something because a few little things feel off. I think it's a pretty good film. It's suspenseful, very funny and dramatic at the same time, and a great story. I think for Jon Stewart's first time directing, he did a spectacular job. Also, I'm so happy I got to see Jon Stewart and Maziar Bahari (the main protagonist this movie is based on) and the whole cast live in person tonight. So happy to have spent my night like this!

One Nebs Up!
